After completing her medical studies in Vietnam, Dr Madeleine Thai was trained in obstetric and gynaecology in Tu Du Hospital and was appointed Chief of Obstetric and Gynaecology Department in Phan Thiet Hospital.

Fledged from Vietnamese communist and migrated to Australia, Dr Madeleine Thai rejoined her medical studies at the University of Melbourne and graduated in 1988.

After completing her medical degree in 1988, she worked for several hospitals in various departments (e.g. emergency, mental health, geriatric and general medicine) to gain experience to become general practitioner.

After 3 years work in various rotations in paediatrics, cardiology, geriatric, obstetrics, and gynaecology in hospital, she became a General Practitioner in 1991. Since then she has worked in several general practices in metropolitan Melbourne

Dr Madeleine Thai has a particular interest in Mental Health, Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Dermatology, Acupuncture, Chronic disease Management and Preventative Medicine.

Dr Madeleine Thai has worked at Footscray Medical Clinic since 1992, and is available for consultations Monday to Friday (prefer booking)
